The desire to establish Havilla University is an attestation to the Proprietor’s zeal to affect humanity in the best of ways. His service to humanity is evidenced by the stream of educational institutions already established at Abuja and Akparabong, Ikom. The core values of ‘Learning, Integrity, and Excellence, have gained profound relevance in the philosophy of the Proprietor, Steadyflow International Limited, as it lays a solid foundation for the establishment of a University of international standard. The Proprietor is glad to share the dream to establish Havilla University, which had been conceived to impact the lives of the teeming youths of our country.We are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent leadership background and a good grasp of university operations as a pioneer Vice Chancellor of our institution. The candidate should be resilient, tenacious and be able to address and engage diverse groups of professionals and lay community. The candidate should be a good listener and be willing to make difficult decisions.

The Vice Chancellor Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Serving on several councils and providing valuable input as well as listening to colleagues’ suggestions.
Reviewing academic programs, budgets, and policies, and improving upon them.
Maintaining positive relationships with other academic institutions, organizations, and the broader community.
Allocating resources fairly and securing grants.
Supervising staff and addressing any performance issues.
Handling a range of administrative duties, including preparing reports.
Attending academic conferences and other events.
Building networks with other academics and institutions.
Delivering speeches at events such as graduations, Homecoming events and open days.
Ensuring university standards are maintained and that academic freedom is protected.

Vice Chancellor Minimum Requirements:

A Ph.D. in her/his chosen discipline.
Must have attained the rank of Professor.
A good and verifiable record of scholarship.
Extensive teaching and leadership experience
Excellent networking and administrative skills.
Versatile in use of technology for teaching and communications
Ability to work with people of various backgrounds.
Excellent communication skill
