Nigeria’s new anti-corruption Chief  announced that one hundred and fifty-three million dollars had been recovered from the country’s former oil minister Diezani Alison Madueke who fled to the UK in 2015.

Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa said at least eighty properties valued at eighty million dollars had also been seized.

He told journalists that he was ready to leave his job as chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission if anyone made him do anything illegal.

Mrs Alison Madueke denied wrongdoing when it was alleged that twenty-billion dollars of oil money had gone missing when she was in office.
